MARI MIURA

ABOUT MY WORK
Mari Miura trained at Tokyo University with diploma as Solo-Pianist.
During the five years in Milan (2015-2020) she attended the Accademia Teatro alla Scala, collaborating with conductors Riccardo Chailly, Paolo Carignani and Marc Albrecht, living at Casa Verdi where she experienced the most generous and intense contact to Italian musical culture. She was invited for new productions “Andrea Chénier” and “Turandot” at Sassari, Sardinia.
In 2016 she took part in “La Traviata” at the Italian Opera Academy Ravenna directed by Renata Scotto and Riccardo Muti. Mari Miura is first-prize winner at the “Ottorino Respighi” International Competition for Collaborative Pianists.
Her first engagement in Germany was at Theater Bremen for “Alcina” and “L’Italiana in Algieri.” After one year at the Opera Studio NRW Dortmund/Wuppertal she took up her engagement at Theater Lübeck. This involved a broad repertoire: “Madama Butterfly,” “Lohengrin,” “Die stumme Serenade” of Korngold, “The turn of the Screw” and “Owen Wingrave” of Britten and “Die Gespenstersonate” of Aribert Reimann. Since 2022 Mari Miura has been engaged at the State Theatre Karlsruhe with new productions “Ottone,” Handel Festival, “Wozzeck,” “La Bohème,” “Nabucco” and “Così fan tutte.” Her parallel activities as guest include playing the solo piano part in “Le vin herbé” of Frank Martin and “In seinem Garten liebt Don PerlimplínBelisa” of Wolfgang Fortner, both at Opera Frankfurt.
